Help us plant...

Trees beautify our schools, reduce stormwater runoff and heat-island effect, remove carbon from the atmosphere, and even improve our students’ academic performance. That’s why SFUSD, in collaboration with Friends of the Urban Forest (FUF), SF Green Schoolyard Alliance, and the Mayor’s Office of Greening is aiming to plant 2012 new trees in and around SF schools by 2012. They will serve as a visual sign of the District’s commitment to its students and the environment.
How it Works:
1. Visit www.2012by2012.com
2. Decide how much you’d like to contribute to the campaign.
3. Choose a particular school or let us decide where your dollars are best spent.
4. When FUF organizes a tree-planting in a particular neighborhood, it will use your financial support to plant trees at local schools in that part of the city.
Thanks for joining us on our quest to green our schools, our city, and our planet.
